We are hoping to open for the 2015 season on April 20th, 2015. This is dependant on the weather and how quickly the the snow melts and the mud dries up at the site.
We have had many questions regarding the Earth Materials Recycling Center and we are hopeful that this section below will help answer them.
We are open Monday thru Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Closed during the winter except by appointment for contractors. We do not make appointments for leaf or grass drop offs.
For City of Concord & Penacook residents there is no charge for non-commercial, pick up size or smaller grass clippings & leaves only with proof of residency (license). Any other material or larger loads there will be a charge. This is for residential customers only. Any commercial vehicles will be charged.
No! Save your money and use something you already own. Examples: Truck, garbage cans, rubbermaid bins, tarp, plastic garbage bags etc. Whatever the materials are brought down in will have to be emptied by you to make sure of no unwanted materials. You will also take back with you the container you brought it in. We do not dispose of your bags or containers.
We have found many bags that are full with trash and then have leaves placed on top. By having you empty your bags we can see exactly what is in them and be able to hold you responsible if there is unwanted material mixed in your container.
Yes! The only difference is that for Concord & Penacook residents they do not have to pay for grass & leaves dropped off in pick up truck or smaller amounts. Various material can be purchased and dropped off by anyone regardless of where they live. It is only $5.00 for a pick up size load of grass/leaves. For other materials please see price list.
During the winter months we close the Recycling Center. We do make appointments for individuals and contractors, but we need advanced notice. We try and schedule people at around the same day or time so please be flexible during the winter.
No, we do not make appointments for leaf drop offs for the people that missed the City pick up or didn't bring them to us before we closed in mid December. Please also remember that we are not the City of Concord, we are a privately owned company.
We have 2 different types of bark mulch at the moment. A dark redish/brown blend (similar to hemlock but less expensive) and a pitch black mulch. Dark pine is $32.00 per yard and the pitch black is $34.50 per yard.
No , The earth materials recycling site has always been run by Gelinas Excavation. We had called it Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing previously because of it's location off of Fort Eddy Road. To keep things simple and to let people know who the company is we are sticking with calling the site Gelinas Excavation. We offer excavation services but also operate the earth materials recycling center.
No, Only grass and leaves can be dropped off at no charge for residents only. Any brush, sticks or tree limbs will have to be separated and have an additional cost. A P/U size load is $10. Additional pricing on various sized loads is listed on our services page under "brush".
