Fort Eddy Rd. Reprocessing

Roxanne - Site Manager

We have had many questions regarding Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing and we are hopeful that this section on our website will help answer them.

What are your hours?

We are open Monday thru Friday 7am to 3:30pm.  Closed during the winter except by appointment.

Do I have to pay to drop off my grass clippings and leaves?

For City of Concord & Penacook residents there is no charge for non-commercial, pick up size or smaller grass clippings & leaves only with proof of residency (license).  Any other material or larger loads there will be a charge.  This is for residential customers only.  Any commercial vehicles will be charged.

Do I have to buy the brown paper bags to put my grass clippings & leaves?

No!  Save your money and use something you already own.  Examples: Truck, garbage cans, rubbermaid bins, tarp, plastic garbage bags etc.  Whatever the materials are brought down in will have to be emptied by you to make sure of no unwanted materials.  You will also take back with you the container you brought it in.  We do not dispose of your bags or containers.

Why do we have to empty the bags, especially if we use the brown recycle ones?

We have found many bags that are full with trash and then have leaves placed on top.  By having you empty your bags we can see exactly what is in them and be able to hold you responsible if there is unwanted material mixed in your container.

If I do not live in Concord or Penacook can I drop off or purchase material from Fort Eddy Rd. Reprocessing?

Yes!  The only difference is that for Concord & Penacook residents they do not have to pay for grass & leaves dropped off in pick up truck or smaller amounts.  Various material can be purchased and dropped off by anyone regardless of where they live.  See price list.

What do I do if I need something at the Recycling Center and you are closed for the winter?

During the winter months we close Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing.  We do make appointments for individuals and contractors, but we need a day or two notice.  We try and schedule people at around the same day or time so please be flexible during the winter.

If I am a City resident can I still drop off my leaves by making an appointment if you are closed for the winter?

No, we do not make appointments for leave drop offs for the people that missed the City pick up or didn't bring them to us before we closed in mid December.  Please also remember that we are not the City of Concord and "no your taxes do not pay us to take your leaves", we are a privately owned company.

  • Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing is a privately owned business run by Gelinas Excavation.

  • It was started because owner Daniel Gelinas recognized the need for such a facility to re-use the materials already out there for both homeowners and contractors.

  •  Having an earth materials recycling center in the heart of our Capitol City is a plus for all us of and the environment.
